DOES YOUR BUSINESS PRODUCE OR DEAL WITH ORGANIC WASTE? New York-based national environmental non-profit Energy Vision is planning a special half-day workshop in collaboration with Skidmore College, government, industry and other partners. This no-cost event will cover the opportunities and obstacles facing the production and use of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) in New York State. RNG– the upgraded form of biogas– is a clean, local, ultra-low-carbon source of energy and transportation fuel made from decomposing organic waste.
Attendees — including government, regulators, municipalities, renewable energy developers, waste generators, fleet owners/operators and more — will come away with a detailed understanding of RNG and its importance as an energy and fuel resource in New York. The proven strategy offers immense benefits and a significant opportunity for NY to advance its ambitious climate, clean energy, waste management and economic development goals. However, RNG is not immune to various hurdles and roadblocks, which will also be discussed throughout the day.
