ROSES Information Training for Nonprofits (3 of 3)
Non Profit Training focused on Volunteer Program Evaluation and Saluting
VOLUNTEERS!
One of your most important resources and
one of the biggest challenges for your organization
We all struggle with this most important asset. How to recruit them and then be sure we are able to train them. Then how do we ensure they have the resources and support they need and the all important, how do we thank them for all that they do for us?
To assist you in attracting and retaining the volunteers that are vital to your organizations success, we are providing the ROSES Training series (five training modules) over the three two hour session..
December 12th - We will be focused solely on volunteer RECRUITMENT and will include a workbook and exercises to assist you in writing exciting and productive volunteer opportunities that will attract people who have passion and interest in assisting your organization in delivering your services and providing for your clients/constituants. This session will also provide an opportunity for you to post your opportunities to the Regional Volunteer Center while you are in the session or immediately following this valuable training.
February 13th - This session will focus on volunteer ORIENTATION and volunteer SUPPORT. We will discuss the importance of Orientation and Support for your volunteers to ensure you have a vibrant volunteer base that sees and feels the value of their contributions to your organization and the people you and they serve. This session is a critical component for volunteer retention!
April 10th - Finally, this session will focus on volunteer program EVALUATION andSALUTING your volunteers. We will discuss the importance of volunteer program evaluation and have you identify important metrics that show the effectiveness of your volunteer program. We will share ideas for various ways to measure and make changes in your volunteer program as needed. We will also explore ways you SALUTE your volunteers including "Nine Basic Rules for Volunteer Recognition".
Each of these sessions will be facilitated by Ray Patterson, Volunteer Information Director for The Stakeholders Regional Volunteer Center. Ray is an experienced educator/trainer, adjunct faculty at RPI, and a business consultant.
All of the sessions will be held at Saratoga Bridges,16 Bridges Blvd., Ballston Spa from 8:00 - 10:00 am.
