The Saratoga Springs City Center celebrates its 30th Anniversary year of "Bringing People Together," by offering visitors an opportunity to view a portion of the notable Saratoga En Pointe ballet shoe exhibit.
This famed exhibit originally was comprised of 26, five foot tall, fiberglass ballet pointe shoe sculptures. Each shoe was commissioned in 2013 by a sponsor and designed by a local artist as a fundraiser for the National Museum of Dance.
The City Center is pleased to welcome 4 of the 26 original ballet pointe shoes. They are now on display in the grand lobby- shown high above the lobby floor, as a dancing-in-the-air exhibit.
Visitors can view the shoes Monday-Friday from the hours of 9am-5pm through April 30, 2014. From the golden "All That Glitters" shoe to the magical mirrored "Believe In Your Dreams" shoe, this current exhibit is a testimony to dance and the treasure Saratoga Springs has in the National Museum of Dance.
The public is encouraged to plan a visit to view these stunning works of art and celebrate the City Center's 30th Anniversary, as another opportunity for "Bringing People Together."
