Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years related experience in sales, marketing, and/or a related field
  • General knowledge and understanding of the industry and local market
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work across multiple departments effectively
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with a proactive work style
  • Ability to work established hours and other hours as needed, including weekends, holidays and evening.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, specifically building internal and client facing presentations

Compensation and Benefits

When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education/training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
 
The salary range for the above position is $25-$35 per hour.

Job Overview
 
We are looking for a Community Marketing Manager to join our team at WNYT-TV LLC. This role involves developing and executing sponsorship campaigns and partnerships to drive client results, revenue, and community outreach. The ideal candidate should be organized, innovative, and able to prioritize tasks. Responsibilities include planning and implementing strategies, identifying sponsorship opportunities, managing requests for coverage, and coordinating marketing efforts. The candidate should have strong communication and presentation skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. Minimum of three years of related experience is required.

 
Job Responsibilities
  • Planning, aligning, and implementing strategies aimed at improving community outcomes and increasing effectiveness of community.
  • Making actionable recommendations to the leadership team based on feedback from the community, legislation, and research.
  • Lead integrated marketing efforts on the front end (brainstorming, campaign strategy, presentation development), as well as the back end (execution, fulfillment recaps, renewals)
  • Actively work with sales team to identify existing sponsorship opportunities or develop custom integrated marketing solutions for clients.
  • Create and execute documents outlining mutually beneficial sponsorship terms with our community partners.
  • Manage and track requests for coverage from the community and act as a liaison between departments to execute on appropriate requests.
  • Plans and executes community outreach, marketing campaigns and events.
  • Plays critical role in creation of unique station events requiring paid client support and the sale process to secure it. Coordinates the creation of sales and client presentation and promotional materials.
